The Minnesota Plan

Bringing Our Democracy Into The 21st Century And Strengthening Its Defences Against Authoritarianism.

Proportional Representation

Through a combination of three different voting methods (RCV, STV, & Direct party vote) that have been tried and tested around the world and ever here in the US for decades, we will make it so that every vote counts and you can vote for whoever you want without being punished by the system for making the “Wrong Choice”. Parties will get the percentage of control they earn from their percentage of votes. No More Gerymandering. No More Politicians Picking Their Voters. If you are a republican in Minneapolis or a DFL’er in Greater Minnesota or a third-party voter, you will get representation for the first time in decades.

No More Big Money In Politics

By regulating and, in some cases, eliminating corporate political spending and expanding and modernizing Minnesota's public campaign funding system, we will take our government back from the ultra-wealthy elite.

Mandatory Retirement Age

Let’s leave till death do us part to our spouses, not our politicians.

If you are a policy nerd like me, the Minnesota plan website is the place for you. The website goes much deeper into the plan and will also be where a list of all legislators who have signed on will be in the future.
